“All the ways of a man are clean in his own sight, But the LORD weighs the motives.”
Lord,
You have searched me and known me to the very depths of my soul and there is nothing that is hidden from Your sight. I will never find myself in a place where You cannot see me or know of me. My heart is overflowing with thanksgiving this morning for the sweetness of Your presence and the nearness of Your Word that abides in me. All that You do Father is for my good and for Your glory and I can rest securely in that today. I will not be anxious today for anything but I will set my hope and trust in You. Let me not reason things out according to my own knowledge or according to what my eyes see or my emotions experience but let me lay bare my heart to You before acting or speaking.
Father guard my heart and my intentions by sifting them through the holiness of Your will and Your purposes. Forgive me for all the times I have schemed for my own benefit without regard for others. Direct my will upon Your path of selflessness and grace that abounds. I choose to die to myself and all that I desire today because I want to be clothed with Your Character God not my own. There is nothing lovely about me Father and apart from You I am a most miserable woman.
Let me not do anything for selfish gain but to put others first as is pleasing to You. I choose this day to be the least knowing in my Heavenly Home I will be great. I choose this day to deem others as more important than myself that I may strengthen the weak and comfort the downtrodden. Clothe me with the humility of my Lord and adorn me with the mercies of Heaven. You surrendered all Your rights that I might become the righteousness of God am I to do no less? This day I will live for Jesus and I count myself as nothing and all that I have gained in this world as rubbish that other may gain Christ as I have. Praise Your name through my life today O Lord. It’s all about You Jesus and not me! Forgive me of my selfishness and for all the times I have counted myself and my needs as more important than others and even You.
Check my motives and make them pure today in Thy sight. I thank You for Your patience with me and the love with which You have loved me always. Fill me with Your love that is never harmful, never self-seeking and never unlovely or unkind. Hide me in Jesus today Father and glorify Your holy name. the world needs to see Him and not the ugliness of my flesh. Make me a living testimony today and draw the lost to the cross. Protect those that are dear to me and make the strength of Your presence known to them. I love you and give you all my praise today for you are worthy!
