“Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why have you become disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him for the help of His presence.”
My God, my rock, my refuge from every storm, the light of my soul and my eternal dwelling place; I give you my praise today and my heart sings unto you a love song. Thank you for keeping me safely through the night and for commanding the sun to shine as a faithful reminder that my God is still on the throne. There is no circumstance that can overtake my soul no matter how loud the winds of confusion howl. What a God you are to me! I love you Father God and I my hope is in You this morning. It is not in my circumstances, it is not in the pleasant situations, it is not found in people, not in my relationships, it is not in what others say about me, it is in You and You alone.
My heart is full of joy at the thought of You and all that You are I surely cannot comprehend the beauty of it. Your presence is my help and I know that You will never leave me nor forsake me. I lay all that disturbs my soul today at Your feet of sovereignty and all that seeks to rob me of my peace. You are my stay, the steady for my life and every circumstance that befalls me.
Calm the waters of my soul today and sail me on toward the ports of Your purposes for me. You will never mislead me or steer me in the direction I want to go but out of Your great love for me You will take the helm and guide me in Thy will. I trust You loving Father even when I don’t understand. I will have no despair today or allow any disturbances to be thief in my mind. You have a plan and You are bringing it about with perfect faithfulness and love. No matter what comes against me, Your plan for me will not be thwarted! I praise You for the unseen things and I ask you to re-dig the wells of praise in my life and raise up a mighty song of hope for You!
I ask you to keep my children in perfect peace today and guide them and keep them in the path You have for them to trod. Protect them from every harmful thing, from every evil foe and fill them with strength and beauty reminding them that they belong to You and not themselves. Pour out Your favor O Lord upon them for Your glory and Your glory alone. I praise You father because what you have for me, You will not give to another, it is safe in Your hands. Mighty are You O God and worthy of all my praise
