God Is a Circle Maker "…He who trusts in the LORD, lovingkindness shall surround him."

Psalm 32:10

When God began creating our universe, He carefully laid out His perfect order of all things. He established boundaries separating the light from the darkness and the waters from the waters. He saw that the light was good and the separations were good. Once these holy boundaries laid themselves down at the Creator’s bidding, He called forth the great bodies of waters containing them as our oceans causing the dry land to appear. It was at this moment that we later read what God was really doing; He was drawing a circle. He stepped back and with one fail swoop, He carved out a circle upon the waters of the earth. If Columbus had just read the Scriptures, he would have known for certainty that our earth was round. Isaiah, Proverbs and the book of Job all attest to the fact that God made a circle in the waters when He created the earth. What was God trying to reveal to us? What did He want us to see?

I believe, no doubt, God had more than one reason for making our earth round but one that dominates them all is the truth that God wanted mankind to be surrounded with the knowledge of Him at every turn. Because God so designed our universe the way He did, we can look high, low, side to side or turn ourselves in a circle; we can fly up the highest point in the clouds or to the farthest star and we can never be without a view of His existence. He surrounds us as with a shield because He designed our living world to be round so He could! He goes before and behind encamping round about us, because He made the world round! God drew the first circle as if to carve out a wedding ring in the middle of the milky way that He might commit all of Himself to all of His world; to all of you and me.

God wants you to never be without a view, without a reminder of His presence. Any direction you turn, His fingerprints are there. He has drawn a holy circle around His earth and around His child in order to give a message to the entire world for ages to come: SHE’S SPOKEN FOR! God did not create you and then put you in His circle. He drew His circle and there He made you. You came forth as, "claimed…belonging to another". Why? Because your God is a circle maker!!!

You are never where He is not.
